The AS-402 is a remote control for the Conex AS-101 Audio Switcher. It is compatible with and replaces the AS-401, but incorporates a few changes:
- The legendable switches are a different brand, for a crisper and more pleasant feel.
- The enclosure is different for a better appearance and easier access to the external connections.
- A 15 Pin connector (DB-15 type) has been added to allow external discrete contact closures to activate any desired channel.
- The terminal strip for connection to the 7 wire remote control cable un-plugs for easy access.
- A pair of telephone-type RJ-45 8 pin connectors have been added to faciliate connecting multiple remote controls to the same switcher.
